  • Z is for Zipping by...

Whoa, lots of happenings have happened in the last three months since I posted...
    • We had our volleyball tournament on October 17. It was fun, but unfortunately we didn't win either game we played. :(
    • David turned 1 on the 30th, and we got to celebrate with him! Abby made him his own little lion cake, and I think he enjoyed it (we certainly enjoyed watching him eat it :)
    • We had kind of a small thanksgiving dinner this year (only Ben was able to come home), but it was still great! Then the day after Thanksgiving, Benny helped us decorate the house for Christmas.
    • Caitlin's birthday was the December 9th; She had a small party with a few friends, and that was really fun.
    • I got to spend the next weekend in Raleigh with one of Ben's neighbors, Kristin, to learn more about photography. She took me on one of her photo shoots and gave me lots of photography tips...I really enjoyed it!
    • Then we had the children's Christmas play on the 17, which turned out really well. It never seems like everything's going to work out in the few days before the actual play, but God always seems to bring it all together in the end :)
    • We had a wonderful Christmas too...everyone got to come to our house this year.*
    • I had a great birthday; Mom and I met Ben for lunch at Golden Corral, then for supper Mom made quiche.*
    • Our New Year's was pretty normal...we had the usual yummy chili con queso dip, along with delicious veggies.*
    • And we just got back on Wednesday night from a spontaneous trip to Georgia. We got to spend some time with Aunt Donna, Grandpa & Grandma, and Uncle Steve & Aunt Joy...kind of quick, but fun. :)

And as you can see, that concludes my alphabet postings...yippee!

  • Y is for Yesterday

Yesterday we (Father, Marmee, Grace & I) got to go and visit David for a while! He is getting so big...yesterday was his 11 month birthday.

Ben came to watch him until we got there because we were running a little late. He is pretty good at getting David to smile.

Grace wanted to try her new bow on Ben...

David really enjoyed Ben's cell phone.

He also loves playing Ring around the Rosies now.

We had lots of fun with the little guy (and his parents and uncle)!

  • X is for Xtraordinary getaway :)

Niltiac & I recently had a very exciting little vacation....we got to spend a few days at the mansion large home of some friends of ours while they were away. And we took care of their dog.
It was a lot of fun. Except for breaks to eat, feed & let the dog out, go to a volleyball game & PCC (Caitlin), we pretty much watched TV the whole time.
Well, we did go for a nice long walk around their yard once. They live by the lake, so it was a very nice & refreshing walk.
On the last day, I knew C would be back from PCC soon, so I took the dog out to do its business. (Luckily, I had locked myself out once the day before, so I grabbed my cell phone and the camera just in case) Before I went outside, I tried the door from the inside to make sure it wasn't locked, and I thought it wasn't. But, of course, it was locked. So I got to go for another walk by myself until the owners got back (which, thankfully, was only about 20 minutes).

    Some pictures of our walk:

    Caitlin doesn't like rain much... : )

Only two more letters to go!
